2019 was a year for us. Overall, it was a year I was happy to see end. Not that it was terrible, or that I wish any of it away (ok, maybe the sleepless nights), but it was kind of a tough one for us. That being said, we did a lot of amazing things, saw some cool places, made some wonderful memories, and continued to grow and learn together as a family and individually.

Here are some of the highlights of our year, starting in January 2019.

Started the Year off In Olon, Ecuador.
Celebrated Lake’s 1st Birthday in Ecuador. Mar.03
Lake took her first steps on her birthday, on the beach, to her sister.
Lake really embraced her birthday suit.
We watched Ry surf…a lot!
Back home to our Vitamix.
Happy to be home.
Soaking up the Spring sun.
Hundreds of Random Bike Adventures around town.
Learned how to bake Sourdough myself 😀
Started this Nourishing Mothers platform, website, blog, resources, Instagram. And more to come!
Had lots of friend hangouts, these girls building friendships <3
Bought a new car (Thunder Betty), after our 19 year old car (Betty) decided she was done 🙁
Spent many hours playing in Nanny’s beautiful garden.
Non-stop Nursing…and it’s still going :p
Spent a week on Amherst Island and totally fell in love… Seriously considered moving there.
Isla played on her first organized sports team.
Many a swims at our local Beach.
Hangs with their Favourite Uncle Noah!
Isla turned 4!
Went camping at Kawartha Highlands
Isla started nature kindergarten

Went to 2 gorgeous weddings…wore the same dress :s
Spent time with cousin Ellie <3

Lake completed her first round of Gymnastics
A rainy Halloween as Elsa and Anna.
Snow, then rain, then ice, then snow, then rain…Tobogganing
Had a weekend away (sans kids) in Prince Edward County
Went to Ripley’s Aquarium

Well, If you’ve stuck around this long, good for you. I love doing these annual recaps, it really does remind me of all the awesome things we did, despite me not thinking it was an outstanding year.
